Denne tv-serien og den tilhørende boken er virkelig, virkelig verdt å se Ble sendt på BBC i høst.

Mark Carwardine (zoolog) og Stephen Fry (moromann) besøker 7 utrydningstruede dyrearter over hele planeten, og lager èn-times-programmer av hvert "besøk".

I tillegg skriver Mark Carwardine en bok som gis ut under samme tittel.

Litt bakgrunnsinformasjon: For 20 år siden dro forfatteren Douglas Adams og Mark Carwardine på den samme turen. Dette er en "oppfølging" og ny-visitt for å se "hvordan det går med de utrydningstruede dyrene i dag". Den orginale boken som ble skrevet av Douglas Adams er forøvrig helt fortreffelig (også med tittelen Last Chance to See).

Douglas Adams er forøvrig mannen bak bøkene i serien Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
