For what i understand, i'll try to answer in English, sorry so far: Consider also that Geneve is one of the most important EasyJet airports. So very likely you'll have very cheap flights there. From Geneve there is all the Wallis as well as Chamonix pretty close (easily reachable by train). Where to go, IMHO depends on how much time you want to stay. If it's more than a week, why not choose a strategic place wherefrom you can start every day to a different destination. If it's for a week only, you could even choose a "minor" ressort, which probably is cheaper but especially if offpist is an issue for you might offer even more. Hi, thanks a lot so far. I know the Jämtland pretty well, so i have a general idea about the landscape (skied in Meraker lift and backcountry as well). And what we are looking for is something different to what we can in our "backyard" I like the big spaces, for example Storulvan to Sylarna. (I skied Lyngen Alps and Narvik several years ago and some of us has been to Sunnmoere, so the west is not that unknown). The general idea was this: - Storsnasen and other peaks of Snasahogarna 1 day (from Handöl or the road to Storulvan) - Traverse from Storulvan via Sylarna and Helags to Ljungdalen (or Ramundberget) 2 - 3 days But for the rest, having still 4 days plus 1 for the passage with ferryboat and then home to Valais, i don't have that precise ideas and i thought we could take the road to Meraker and then more south a do then there some skitouring. By that, looking at the maps and checking a bit the internet (www.sylarna.net, toppomania, etojm.com) was born the idea of Sölen. And may be some other mountains around there Anyaway, don't be afraid to point me to norvegian sites , i do understand a little bit (at least from reading) Cheers, Uli

Sorry for asking in English. Hope you'll accept anyway Well, in april we will do several days of skitouring in Sweden (starting from Handöl - Storsnasen, Helags, Sylarna). After that, we thought to transfer in Norway. Looking at the maps, seemed to us a good idea to do Solen (southwest of Femund). Is that a good idea? Are there some links about huts or similar where to stay. Moreover, since after that we will have still 2 - 3 other days, what would be a good idea to do some ski touring in proximity. If possible, i'd be very grateful for any link. We're a group of 5 experienced ski randonneurs (3 telemark, 2 alpine touring stile), so, what we're looking for is good (requiring) skiing not so the classical nordic stile backcountry touring.
